PHOENIX (AP) — Diamondbacks new kid on the block Tyler Gilbert has tossed seven hitless innings in his first major alliance start against the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.
Gilbert is attempting to toss MLB’s eighth no-hitter of the period, which would coordinate with the record set in 1884 — the principal season overhand pitching was permitted.중국야동
The 27-year-old left-hander has tossed 88 pitches, striking out three and strolling two. He’s surrendered different hard hit balls, including a line drive from Eric Hosmer directly up the center that Gilbert had the option to catch for the last out of the fifth.
Gilbert strolled Tommy Pham to begin the seventh yet resigned Adam Frazier on a line drive to third that was gotten by a jumping Drew Ellis. Manny Machado jumped out to first and Jake Cronenworth grounded out on a defender’s decision to end the inning.
Gilbert, chosen in the Triple-A segment of the Rule 5 draft the previous winter, recently showed up with Arizona this season.
